what are some essential makeup items for your overnight bag? A blog about what you should bring in your overnight bag.

What to bring in your overnight bag?

When I travel, I want to look good, but I don’t want to lug around a make-up bag full of stuff. That is why I rely on products that are multi-purpose and long lasting. Here are my top picks for what to put in your overnight bag:

BB Cream – Some people use foundation, tinted moisturizer or concealer. For me, BB cream has been the perfect product because it covers and treats your skin at the same time. Even better, it comes in a variety of shades so you can get the perfect color match for your skin.

Concealer – Concealers are great for covering dark circles, blemishes and brightening under eye areas. To avoid looking like a raccoon when you wake up after a night of sleeping on a plane or train, be sure to use a concealer that does not crease or cake.

Lipstick – Instead of using lip gloss or lip balm when you travel, try using lipstick. Lipstick is long-lasting and doesn’t get all over your teeth like lip gloss does. On top of that, it won’t dry out your lips! Plus, lipstick these days comes in all sort of colors (and

First of all, who wants to be packing and unpacking every day? It’s so annoying. Second of all, if you pack smartly and limit yourself to only the essentials, you won’t have to worry about any other makeup disasters.

There are certain things that should go in your overnight bag no matter what. I’ll go ahead and list them for you so you don’t forget:

– Toothbrush + toothpaste

– Hairbrush

– Deodorant / dry shampoo

– Fresh pair of undies (just one!)

– Hair ties / bobby pins / headbands / hats, etc.

– Lip balm or Vaseline

– Face wash + moisturizer (I like Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser)

– Hand lotion (I like Bath & Body Works Pink Cashmere)

Now let’s talk makeup! I always travel with a makeup bag filled with the basics. For me, this includes concealer, mascara and eye liner. That way I can do a simple look for daytime or add a bit of drama for nighttime.

I am a huge fan of the “overnight bag”. You know, the duffel or backpack you fill with essentials for an overnight stay. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, an overnight bag is a great way to be prepared for anything and everything.

I remember as a kid I had this little Vera Bradley duffel that I would bring on sleepovers or short trips to my grandparents house. It was the perfect size and I filled it with small fun items to keep me entertained and looking cute during my trip!

Nowadays, my overnight bag is a bit more practical. While I still try to pack some fun things (like magazines), the majority of my overnight bag consists of toiletries and other essentials that will make early morning travel less stressful (and more comfortable).

Here are my five must-have beauty products that come along with me on every overnight trip:

I’m sure we all have one (or a few) of these in our closets. The overnight bag is perfect for those quick, spur-of-the-moment trips. With some preplanning and organization, it can be a lifesaver for those nights away from home.

I love the idea of keeping an overnight bag packed and ready to go at all times. All you would need to do is add your pajamas and an extra outfit or two. The rest of the items should already be there!

The essentials:

Toothbrush, toothpaste, contact lenses and solution, makeup remover wipes (or face wash), face lotion, hairbrush, hair ties/bobby pins, makeup bag with your face and eye makeup items in it (I’ll get into more detail on this below), hair products (dry shampoo works wonders!), perfume/cologne, deodorant and feminine products – if you use them.

Extras:

A little black dress (LBD), extra underwear, flats or sandals (easy to slip on if you’re just running to the store in your PJs!), a book/magazine or something else to entertain yourself if you have downtime during your stay.

The ultimate guide to a complete overnight bag.

I’ve been traveling for a lot of years now and I’ve learned from experience what should be in your overnight bag. You never know when you’re going to be away from home longer than planned or if you’re going to forget something that you need, so this is a guide that will help you remember everything that you need when you’re staying somewhere overnight.

What To Bring In Your Overnight Bag

When it comes to packing an overnight bag there are certain things that you have no choice but to bring, and then there are some things that are good to bring just in case. I would also suggest always having one of these bags packed and by the door at all times (if possible) because you never know when you’ll need one. If you don’t have the room at home to keep one packed, then make sure that it is at least on your list of things to pack before leaving the house in case of an emergency.

Traveling is a great time to try out new products. It’s also a good time to bring along the basics that you know you can rely on. The first tip is to not over pack! You don’t want to be lugging around too much stuff in addition to everything else you have with you.

A cute overnight bag is a must. This way your cosmetics and other beauty necessities will look cute and stylish.

A travel size Toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash are a must. This way you can feel fresh at all times.

Travel size face wash, toner, makeup remover and cleanser are also important so that you don’t need to use bar soap when washing your face at night. Bar soap has a tendency to dry out the skin and isn’t the best for normal skin types.

Travel size moisturizer is also very important for when your flying or staying somewhere that isn’t humid it can cause your skin to become very dry so it’s important to keep it hydrated and moisturized.

Travel size shampoo and conditioner are a necessity as well because it’s not good for your hair or scalp if you go days without washing it even if you have oily hair.

If you’re going someplace warm then sun block

I am a big fan of traveling light. I have learned that the less you carry, the less you need to worry about losing. When I travel, my goal is to pack so lightly that I can leave the hotel at a moment’s notice and not return to the room until it is time to go to the airport.

In order to achieve this, there are certain items that I must bring with me in order to feel comfortable enough to live out of my overnight bag.

First, I make sure that I have all of my toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush), as well as my makeup essentials (face wash, moisturizer and makeup).

Second, I always bring at least two bathing suits with me in case one gets wet or dirty. And if we are going somewhere warm for a few days, I usually only bring one bikini and one pair of shorts.

Third, one of the most important things for me is having access to a good book or magazine. You never know when you might find yourself waiting in an airport or sitting on a beach for hours at a time! This is why I always throw in my Kindle so that if all else fails, I can read.
