Yellowstone National Park is a popular destination any time of year, but if you want to see it covered in snow, visiting during the winter months is your best bet. During this season, there are fewer visitors and animals and hot springs are easier to spot because they aren’t surrounded by foliage. And if you don’t feel like driving through the snow yourself, the park offers guided tours that take you to see the top sights in the park by snowcoach or snowmobile.

2. Glacier National Park

If you want to visit Glacier National Park during the winter months, plan your trip before 2020 when some of its iconic glaciers will be gone forever due to climate change. 5. Colorado Rocky Mountains

My husband and I decided to take a trip to the mountains for our anniversary. We wanted to see some snow, and we also wanted to get out of town for a little while. We looked at a lot of the different travel package options, and we were able to find one that fit our budget. It was through a company called Snowy Mountains Travel Tours.

We got on the bus and met some of the other people who were going on the same tour that we were going on. We had a lot of fun getting to know them during our drive up into the mountains. Once we arrived, we went directly to our hotel rooms so that we could get settled in and get ready for dinner.
