Are you looking for a way to get a discount hotel room? If so, then you’re in the right place!

In this guide, I’ll show you how to get a discount hotel room through’s Name Your Own Price feature.

If you follow my step-by-step guide, you’ll be able to save 40-60% off your next hotel room!

Before we start. I’m not going to tell you that you should get a cheap hotel and spend your money on other things, or that it’s all about the experience, not where you sleep. I believe a comfortable bed and good night’s sleep is paramount when traveling.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about how to get a discounted hotel room. The first step is pretty obvious: Decide where you want to go. If you don’t know what city/country you want to visit, do some research and find out! The price difference between hotels in different cities can be astronomical.

Once you have decided on your destination, it’s time to start looking for hotels. Use an aggregator site like HotelsCombined or Travelocity for this. You will see a list with all the available hotels in the area including the prices (usually per night). This alone can save you lots of time, as you don’t have to go manually from one hotel website to another checking their rates and availability.

Once you have found a hotel that you like, here are some tips on how to get it for less:

So you’re looking to get a hotel room, but you want to save some money. Maybe you’ve never used a discount service before, or maybe you’ve tried Orbitz and Expedia and decided you could do better. I’m going to show you how to use Priceline – yes, the one with William Shatner.

Priceline is one of the few online discount services that allow you to name your own price. (One of the others is Hotwire.) If your bid is accepted, Priceline will not tell you which hotel it’s booking for you until after your credit card is charged. That’s why it’s important to know what hotels are in each zone.

Priceline has a number of different “name your own price” options: flights, cars, hotels, vacation packages. For our purposes we’re only interested in hotels – specifically the “US Express Deals” which allow you to choose a city and star level without choosing a specific hotel.

You will find many ways to save money on your next vacation. The best ways to save money are to book ahead, travel at off-peak times and to travel on weekdays. If you are planning a long trip, consider staying in one of the discount hotel rooms. You will be able to get the best deals on your room and may even find some great discounts on other things such as airfare.

Here are some tips for finding the best deals:

* Book ahead – Most hotels offer discounts for guests who book early. This is especially true for business travelers who often have short notice periods and need last minute accommodations. If you know when you will be arriving, make sure you book well in advance so that you can take advantage of any discounts that may be offered.

* Check for specials – Many discount hotels will have special offers throughout the year. Some of these include free nights or free meals during certain months of the year. If you are planning a trip during these months, be sure to check out what is available so that you can take advantage of any savings opportunities.

* Search online – When booking online, make sure to check out all of your options before making a final decision. If you do not see any discounts listed, take a look around

I am a travel blogger that has been traveling for the past 8 years. I have spent hundreds of nights in different hotel rooms around the world and since I started blogging, I have been able to get a discount 90% of the time. In this post, I will describe how you can do the same!

I have tried many different tricks to get a discount but only one is effective every time. Here it is:

Ask for a discount.

Now, this isn’t always going to work but often times it does. You are more likely to get a discount if you are staying for more than 1 day or if you will be staying there often. In those cases, hotels will want to keep you happy because you are bringing them repeat business. When making my reservation, I will ask for a discount and then say something like:

“I am staying for 3 days in your hotel and I really like your brand so I want to give you my business. Can you offer me any sort of discount?”

The important thing is that you make it clear that they are getting your business and that they need not worry about you canceling your reservation because they did not offer a discount (if they do not offer one).
