Back to school season has officially arrived, but don’t fret, we’ve got you covered. Stock up on all your weekender bag needs and hit the road in style. Our favorite travel bags are versatile and lightweight, so you can start your journey without any baggage (pun intended).

It’s time to think about your next getaway. Here are the best weekender bags for every type of vacation.

This small suitcase is a great choice for those who tend to pack light and want the option to carry their luggage. The carry-on size is perfect for short trips, and it comes in various colors and prints — from floral to stripes — so you can choose one that best fits your style. The bag is lightweight and has four spinner wheels so it moves as easily as an upright suitcase, but when you need to carry it, simply pop up the handles and go!

Instead of the usual back to school shopping, we thought we’d take a different approach by offering our students and recent grads a chance to see the world. That’s right, we’re not talking about textbooks and pencils and scissors here. We’re talking about packing up your life and getting ready for a vacation… or even a semester abroad.

To get started, you’ll need the perfect weekender bag. But what bag is going to work? And how do you fit everything in it? It’s not going to be easy, but it will be fun. So don’t worry about the backpack with all your school supplies in it, and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

We want to send our most loyal customers on their way before they head back to class. To enter our sweepstakes, just send us an email with your name and address, along with a note about why you think you should win! We’ll draw five names at random next Monday morning (September 4th), so don’t wait until then!

We’ll also give away one lucky winner an extra surprise: $500 toward their travel expenses! All you have to do is post a picture of yourself using your new bag on Instagram with the hashtag

I’m heading out of town today, and I’ve been searching for the perfect weekender bag. I have a few in mind, but wanted to do a little research and see if there was anything else new on the market. Sometimes, it’s easy to fall into the same habits – you know what works and go with it. But after doing some research, I found some other options that are pretty great as well. Some of them are a little more expensive, but they last forever (and hey, you get what you pay for!).

I want something that is big enough to hold everything I need while still being able to fit in an overhead compartment or under my seat. It’s also important that it’s comfortable to carry around. I’ve got some bags that are super cute but not so fun to haul around all day.

So whether you’re headed out of town for the weekend or just looking for a new bag to travel with, check out these weekender bags:

It’s back to school time, and if you’re like me, that means a lot of weekenders. My kids are now car-free in New York City, so we have to fit everything for three kids for a long weekend into carry-on bags. (I know, I know, I’m lucky to have such good public transportation.)

We’ve discovered that the perfect bag size is around 40 liters; any bigger than that and we start fighting over who has to carry it. Here are our current favorites:

Patagonia Black Hole 40L Duffel Bag ($129). This bag is lightweight and can be carried backpack style or as a duffel. It’s made from waterproof material and is super durable. There are lots of pockets for easy organization and a handy side pouch for water bottles. My son uses this bag almost every weekend, and it’s still going strong after two years. I think this would make a great graduation gift (hint hint.)

Samsonite Tectonic 2 Large Backpack ($99). Samsonite just came out with this new line of backpacks called Tectonic because they are made to withstand rough handling by baggage handlers. This one comes in three colors–black, blue and red–and has lots

The world of travel bags is full of stress, there are so many options and no one bag fits all. Some travelers want a bag that will last them a lifetime and can handle the beating it takes during airport security checks, while other travelers look for the lightest option possible.

At our focus is on finding the perfect bag for your vacation or business trip. We’ve been traveling the world for years and know what makes a good travel bag, most important being comfort, size and safety.

We’ve rounded up four picks that can easily be thrown over your shoulder and are ideal for packing all your essentials, from a weekend away to a road trip.
